2017 Upper Deck Thor: Ragnarok trading cards let things rip. It has the mix of autographs, memorabilia cards, sketch cards and other elements collectors have come to expect from Upper Deck’s Marvel movie sets.
It delves even further into the feel of the film with some new angles as well, including rip cards that are inserted one per box. There’s also a memorabilia card and one more premium insert from a list that includes autographs and sketches.
Let the Games Begin
The 2017 Upper Deck Thor: Ragnarok base set is on the small side with just 50 cards. However, with boxes not delivering a ton of cards, there is not likely to be a massive surplus of sets flooding the market.
The movie has Thor traveling through space and teaming up with the Hulk, Loki (apparently he’s a good guy now — at least under the circumstances) and Valkyrie to stop Hela from bringing the end of everything.
LTFX Foil parallels come in two different forms. One is numbered to 199 copies.
It’s Main Event Time
For those chasing the hits, 2017 Upper Deck Thor: Ragnarok has the usual wide mix.
Autographs come in both single and dual versions with actors taking center stage. A list of signers has not yet been announced. Grandmaster’s Prized Possessions Actor Autos have a piece of chain embedded in them, a nod to Jeff Goldblum’s colorful character.
A minimum of one Memorabilia Card in each box has material from the film’s production.
Sketch cards are also randomly inserted. A staple in Upper Deck Marvel sets, these have original artwork done on the cards themselves.
The final premium inserts are Dyson Rip Cards. These start as standard cards. But they’re really just a shell for the mini cards the reside inside. Collectors can keep the rip card in tact or they can open it up and see what’s inside. Some of these mini cards are short prints numbered to 15 or 5. Actor autographs and comic creator autographs are also possible inside rip cards.
2017 Upper Deck Thor: Ragnarok trading cards have three regular insert sets as well that highlight characters and the making of the movie.
