2021 Topps Chrome Formula 1 marks the second year for the racing card line. While it’s not going to surprise like the 2020 set, it’s not standing pat either. New configurations and more parallels greet this release. That means some exclusives to add to the chase.
Hobby boxes are where collectors will find almost everything, including autographs. Topps’ new hobby LITE format, which cuts some of the premium content, is also part of the lineup this time around. Finally, there’s a small Value Box SE version that aims to keep prices more affordable.
2021 Topps Chrome Formula 1 Checklist Overview
The 2021 Topps Chrome Formula 1 base set has 200 cards. The design and content is virtually the same as the flagship 2021 Topps F1 release. Here, the big difference is the chromium stock that gives everything a metallic look.
It also means parallels — lots of them:
- Refractors – (1:3 hobby packs)
- Checker Flag – (1:18 hobby packs)
- Purple/Green Refractors – (1:36 hobby packs)
- Gold/Purple Refractors – (1:80 hobby packs)
- Orange/Red Refractors – (1:100 hobby packs)
- Red/Green Refractors – (1:190 hobby packs)
- Purple Refractors – /399

- Gold Wave Refractors – /50
- Checker Flag Gold – /50 (hobby only)
- Orange Refractors – /25

- Red Refractors – /5
- Red Wave Refractors – /5
- Checker Flag Red – /5 (hobby only)
- Printing Plates – 1/1
- Superfractors – 1/1

Hobby LITE packs are the only place to find RayWave parallels, which also come in several versions:
- Black and White RayWave – (1:4 LITE packs)
- Green RayWave – /99
- Gold RayWave – /50
- Red RayWave – /5
- Black RayWave – 1/1

Drivers from both F1 and F2 are part of the base set checklist. Cars and crew can also be found.
Select cards also have Image Variations.
Autographs and Inserts
If you’re after autographs, there are no guarantees at the pack or box level. Regular hobby boxes appear to be the only place to find them as well, not hobby LITE. Using the same general layout as the base set, image previews suggest they come on stickers.
Parallels include Green Refractors (/99), Gold Refractors (/50), Gold Wave Refractors (/50), Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5), Printing Plates (1/1) and Superfractors (1/1).

2021 Topps Chrome Formula 1 has three additional insert sets.
Path to the Podium (1:6 packs) highlights racers who are consistently in contention. Redliners (1:6) has some of F1’s fastest racers. Finally, Topps 1961 Sports Cars draws its inspiration from the 50-year old non-sport set. Instead of racers, cars get the spotlight on these.

All three have Gold Refractors (/50), Gold Wave Refractors (/50), Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5), Printing Plates (1/1) and Superfractors (1/1).
