2018 Panini Stars and Stripes USA Baseball tracks the national team, both past and present. That means lots of prospects making their way through the ranks as well as players from the past who represented the USA in international play.




Autographs and memorabilia are a big part of the set’s hobby version with one hit in each pack.


Base Set

The main set for 2018 Panini Stars and Stripes USA Baseball follows through with the past and present theme. Current prospects in the program are paired alongside some familiar older players on the checklist.



Parallels come in multiple levels and average one per hobby pack.

Blasters come with Longevity versions of the base set. Each of these seven-pack retail boxes has 32 regular Longevity base cards plus one additional parallel.


Autographs and Memorabilia Cards

Not all of the signatures in 2018 Panini Stars and Stripes USA Baseball are on-card, but many of them are. According to Panini, across the entire product, more than 40 players have hard-signed cards. Among them are several players currently projected to be taken in the early parts of the 2018 MLB Draft.

USA Silhouettes Signatures return with over-sized pieces of uniforms and bats. Rare parallels bring in premium swatches like patches. Additional parallels come signed in gold.






Members of the Chinese Taipei team also have Silhouette Jersey Signatures. But these are only in hobby packs, not retail.

Alumni Signatures feature USA Baseball players who went on to MLB careers. For parallels here, ink comes in different colors like red and green.




Among the memorabilia-only inserts are Jumbo. As the name suggests, swatches are on the large side.





Tools of the Trade also return with both regular and Prime versions.

• Tools of the Trade features some of today’s most exciting young players; find rare Prime versions numbered to 25 or less.
