Panini 2011-12 NBA Draft Pick Redemption Checklists Revealed Tonight!

Tonight’s the night. Starting at 9 p.m. CST on Panini America’s BlogTV channel, five months of intense anticipation pays off for anxious collectors who’ve been waiting since the releases of 2011-12 Past & Present Basketball, 2011-12 Limited Basketball and 2011-12 Gold Standard Basketball to find out the identity of their 2011 NBA Draft Pick Autograph Redemptions.

The names of the 35 players featured on the 2011 NBA Draft Pick redemptions — card #’s XRCA through XRCII in each of the three aforementioned products — already are known and listed below. It’s exactly which card number will be assigned to which player that will be determined tonight.


So beginning at 9 p.m. CST, we’ll call out the players listed below one by one, beginning with the last player on the list (Lavoy Allen) and working in reverse order until we get all the way up to 2011 No. 1 overall pick Kyrie Irving. With each player, we’ll reach into a box of sealed envelopes, grab one and open it, revealing the card number for that particular player.

The suspense, especially as we get toward the end of the checklist, should be absolutely fascinating. So join us tonight for all the fun. We’ll be posting the results right here on The Knight’s Lance and on our Twitter feed, too.

Panini America drafted the checklist for its 2011-12 NBA Draft cards on Monday night … the redemptions found in packs of 2011-12 Past & Present, 2011-12 Limited and 2011-12 Gold Standard found in lieu of Rookie Cards this past season.

Panini America Provides a Sneak Peek at the 2011-12 NBA Draft Class Redemption Cards


It’s been one of the most-asked questions dribbling around the basketball card hobby for quite some time now. What, exactly, will the cards included in Panini America’s Draft Pick Redemption program from last year’s releases of 2011-12 Past & Present, 2011-12 Limited and 2011-12 Gold Standard look like.

It’s a question that increased substantially in volume the night we revealed the checklist for the 2011 autographed versions during a special live telecast on BlogTV. Today, it’s also a question that finally starts getting answered.


What follows is a preliminary sneak peek at some of the cards — primarily those of 2012 NBA Draft picks from 2011-12 Past & Present and 2011-12 Limited. But we’ve also taken the liberty of mocking up autographed examples of 2011 NBA Draft picks Kyrie Irving and Kenneth Faried from Limited and Past & Present, respectively, just to show you what those will look like, too.

We’ll have plenty more to share in the coming days and weeks right here on The Knight’s Lance, including a sneak peek at the metal versions and autographs from 2011-12 Gold Standard. Eureka: 2012 Draft Class Redemptions from 2011-12 Gold Standard Basketball Arrive!



To truly appreciate the heavy-metal majesty that is the 2012 Draft Class Redemptions from 2011-12 Gold Standard Basketball, it helps to hold them in your hands. And in the next few days, patient collectors who’ve been waiting for the chance to do just that will finally be rewarded.

Just this week, the finished cards — weighty, wonderfully designed and hopefully worth the wait — arrived at Panini America HQ and will be on their way to collectors early next week. Here’s hoping the following 12-image preview gallery provides a worthy appetite-whetter until the cards begin arriving.
