You’ve seen some of the early autograph returns coming to the highly anticipated baseball debut of2014 Immaculate Baseball. Today, we’re going to pull the curtain back just a little bit more.
Panini America’s 2014 Immaculate Baseball is set to arrive in hobby shops across North America on September 24, buoyed by many of the attributes that helped make its basketball counterpart an instant collector favorite — most notably a stunning design, massive pieces of game-worn memorabilia, a legendary autograph checklist and scarcity.
Every card produced for 2014 Immaculate Baseball will be numbered to 99 or less and each six-card box will deliver five autograph or memorabilia cards. With more than 9,500 prime-memorabilia hits and an impressive array of jumbo prime memorabilia (including jersey nameplates, batting gloves, fielding gloves, shoes, hats, sweatbands and more), Immaculate looks to live up to the brand’s reputation in a big way.

The product highlights are many and include . . .

• Immaculate Rookie Material:
  Rookie Cards featuring oversized pieces of memorabilia numbered to 99 and featuring Prime versions numbered to just 10.
• Immaculate Rookie Autograph Material:
  The game’s top rookies come together in a compelling combination of prime pieces of jersey and an autograph on cards numbered to either 99 or 49; the checklist includes the likes of Gregory Polanco, Nick Castellanos,Oscar Taveras,Billy Hamilton, Michael Choice,Xander Bogaerts,Yordano Ventura, Taijuan Walkerand more.
• Accolades Material: If you’re looking for legends, this is your insert. It features 25 of the greatest players to ever step onto the diamond on memorabilia cards numbered to 99 or less; Prime versions are numbered to 25. The checklist features the likes of Lou Gehrig,Jackie Robinson,Honus Wagner,Joe Jackson,Ty Cobb,Joe DiMaggio,Satchel Paigeand many more.
• Immaculate Swatches: Immaculate Swatches features memorabilia cards of 95 veterans, rookies and prospects #’d/99 or less, with Prime versions numbered to 99 or less and Premium versions numbered to 20 or less. The Premium chase features a mixture of brand logos, laundry tags and buttons that total more than 850 cards of players like Masahiro Tanaka,Yasiel Puig,Mike Trout,Bryce Harper,Derek Jeter,Albert Pujols,Ken Griffey Jr.,Bo Jackson,Chipper Jones, George Brett,

An Immaculate Intro: Panini America Starts Packout for 2014 Immaculate Baseball



At this very moment (provided you’re reading this on Wednesday), Wes Elliott, Micah Layton and other members of the Panini America Product Development Team are hard at work at the production facility across town engaging in the early stages of packout for the highly anticipated 2014 Immaculate Baseball. Luckily for all of us, Elliott’s been keeping us up to date on the packout proceedings with a steady stream of emails featuring one stunning image after another.

In the gallery that follows, we are in turn sharing those images with you — partly because we want you to see what all of the Immaculate buzz is about and partly because we want you to feel like you’re right there on the production room floor with Elliott, Layton and the rest of the team.


Enjoy this early look at the memorabilia majesty that awaits when 2014 Immaculate Baseball arrives in hobby shops across North America next Wednesday. Some of the magic that you’re about to see: Game-worn wristbands, game-worn batting gloves, nameplate letters, game-used bat knobs, game-used bat-barrel nameplates and the first memorabilia cards of Jose Abreu.

Nasty Jumbo Cleats Insert Slides Impeccably into 2014 Immaculate Baseball (Gallery)



It’s almost impossible to step your game up without the right footwear — which is why Panini America officials went about acquiring only the best for the revolutionary Jumbo Cleats insert coming to next week’s release of 2014 Immaculate Baseball. Consider the game stepped up in a major way with an Immaculate release that looks to emphatically stomp its footprint across the baseball card category.

Individually and collectively, the game-worn cleats acquired and incorporated into the Jumbo Cleats insert represent a spectacular piece of baseball — and baseball card — history. They toed the hot corner with Hall of Fame prowess in Philadelphia (Mike Schmidt). They took the batter’s box with the sweetest-swinging slugger San Diego’s ever known (Tony Gwynn). They were afoot for one of the greatest careers in Houston baseball history (Craig Biggio). They made the massive cleat marks of Boston’s beloved Big Papi (David Ortiz). Making the Jumbo Cleats concept even cooler? The back of each card features a photo of each pair of the shoes in their intact state.
