Reinvigorated.

When 2015 Bowman Draft arrives in November, that’s one word that Topps used to describe the forthcoming prospect release. What will make it so? “Additional insert subsets, compelling prospect content and a variety of Chrome autograph cards,” according to the company.

Just like in the past, though, every 24-pack hobby box will include one autographed card when it arrives in hobby shops on Nov. 25.



The base set will consist of 200 cards with seven parallels — Blue (/TBD), Green (/TBD), Gold (/TBD), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Metallic and printing plate versions. The Chrome cards will have nine parallels for the same 200 cards — Refractors, Sky Blue Refractors, Blue (/TBD), Green (/TBD), Gold (/TBD), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors and printing plates.

New for this year will be Teams of Tomorrow diecuts that pair new draft picks with prospects in the organization. They will have Gold (/TBD), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors. Draft Dividends inserts will showcase players who were drafted out of high school but opted for college and were drafted a second time. These cards will have autographed versions along with an Orange (/25) and Red (/5) parallel.

On the autograph front, the signers all have on-card autos with a rainbow that includes eight versions to chase — Refractors, Purple (/TBD), Green (/TBD), Gold (/TBD), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 plates and Supers.

Another option for autograph fans are Prime Pairings autos that put two player onto one card — this will have a Red parallel /5 — along with All-America game autos as well. The All-American autos from various past all-star events will also have a 1/1 gold-frame parallel.

Among the inserts will be Draft Night cards — this time with Orange and Red versions — as well as Top of the Class box-topper where there will be autographs (/25) and three other versions to be found. They are Orange Wave (/25), Red Wave (/5) and 1/1 Supers.

Also back will be Futures Game Relics for players in the mid-summer event with those cards having Orange parallels limited to only 25 copies.

Dansby Swanson, Brendan Rodgers lead 2015 Bowman Draft autograph signers



Topps has named the first couple of signers for 2015 Bowman Draft Baseball,and they’re some biggies.

Dansby Swanson and Brendan Rodgers will have Chrome Prospect Autographs in the product releases on December 9. Both were among the top picks in the 2015 MLB Draft this past June.
Swanson was the first overall selection. Taken by the Arizona Diamondbacks, the shortstop already tops Baseball America‘s list of top prospects for the team. In his first 22 games of pro ball, he hit .289 with one home run. He’s already shown a knack for winning, helping Vanderbilt capture the 2014 College World Series. Swanson was named the series MVP.

In 2015, he was a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award, which is given to the top college player each year.

Rodgers was the third pick in the 2015 draft by the Colorado Rockies. Like Swanson, Rodgers is a shortstop. He’s shown some strong pop with his bat and played well in the field. He’s still just 19 so there’s plenty of time for him to develop as well.

The final 2015 Bowman Draft Baseball checklist will have lots more autographs of 2015 draft picks announced in the lead-up to the set’s release. It’s also worth noting that the product has no redemptions. All autographs are available in packs.

2015 Bowman Draft Baseball autograph checklist coming together



It started with Dansby Swanson and Brendan Rodgers, two of the top three picks in the 2015 MLB Draft. As the 2015 Bowman Draft Baseball autographs checklist continues to take shape, it’s becoming apparent that they’re not holding back when it comes to top 2015 draft picks.

Names are slowly being unveiled through the Bowman Twitter account in the lead up to the release of the final checklist.


The majority of the autographs in 2015 Bowman Draft Baseball will be Chrome Prospects. Usually, these are the first signed cards players have in their MLB uniforms. Collectors can expect on-card signatures and lots of Refractor parallels.

The final list of 2015 Bowman Chrome Draft Autographs has 60 cards, just over half of which are 2015 first round picks. This includes eight of the top ten picks and 17 of the first 20. Autographs of all but five of the players taken in the first round are included in the product.


Another theme on the checklist is MLB bloodlines. A handful of signers have fathers who were notable major leaguers. They include Tate Matheny, Mariano Rivera, Tyler Nevin and Conor Biggio.
