The configuration might be familiar, but 2015 Topps Museum Collection Football is taking something of a different approach with its design. The focus is still on the autographs and memorabilia, but the darker look should help differentiate it from other releases under the brand’s banner.

2015 Topps Museum Collection Football boxes are packaged as four mini boxes, each with its own hit. As in the past, each master box has one autographed relic, an on-card autograph, a jumbo relic and a quad relic. Twelve-box cases deliver an autographed jumbo relic and a framed autograph.


Autographs, at least those that don’t come with any memorabilia, center on hard-signed signatures. With more than 50 players, Signature Series Autographs has the biggest selection of signed cards in the product. It’s a mix of veterans, rookies and retired players. These have six levels of serial-numbered parallels, all of which are numbered to 50 or less. Dual Signature Series Autographs pair up players in various combinations. These have four parallels, none of which have more than five copies.

Framed Autographs return. The numbered cards come with a metal border giving them a more premium feel. Silver Frame versions are the most plentiful and use matching silver ink. Gold Frame parallels are numbered to 10 and have gold autographs. They also have a pair of one-of-one parallels in the form of Black Frame and 60th Anniversary.

Super Bowl Signature Series Autographs (/10) has a checklist featuring key players from championship teams.

2015 Topps Museum Collection Football autographed relics also come with a mix of themes. And while not all come with on-card signatures, Museum Jumbo Patch Autographs do. Dedicated to key rookies, the signatures are joined by a large swatch of a player-worn jersey patch. All are serial numbered. Parallels include Copper (/15), Gold (/10) and Emerald Nike Swoosh (1/1).

Both Signature Swatches Dual and Triple Relics have one patch swatch to go with the regular jersey swatches. Both rookies and veterans are in these sets. Both have Copper, Gold (/25) and Emerald (1/1) versions.

Gear from the NFL’s all-star game is used in Pro Bowl Signature Swatches Dual Relics. In addition to the autograph, these come with a both a plain swatch and a patch from Pro Bowl jerseys. Among the parallels are Copper (/25) and Gold (/10). There are also three different Emerald parallels, each of which is a one-of-one. One has multi-color patches, one has a team logo patch and the last one has a Pro Bowl logo patch.

New to 2015 Topps Musuem Collection Football are Oversized Framed Autograph Patch cards. The memorabilia in these are all considered premium swatches from things like jersey logos, draft hats and glove logos. The autographs are also hard-signed.

The majority of the one-per-box over-sized memorabilia cards come from one of two inserts. Museum Jumbo Relics has more than 40 rookies and veterans. Museum Pro Bowl Jumbo Relics have swatches from the event.

Museum Jumbo Logo Relics (1/1) come with a Nike Swoosh patch. Other over-sized relic rarities in 2015 Topps Museum Collection Football include Laundry Tag Relics (1/1), NFL Shields (1/1) and Dual Jumbo Relic Book cards (/5).

Quad relics come in three basic varieties. Pro Bowl and Rookie Quad Relics have three jersey swatches and one patch. Combo Quad Relics have gear from four different players. All quad relics are serial numbered and, like the majority of the release, have parallels.

Canvas Collection returns as a basic insert. Landing one per box, these have artistic renditions of more than 30 players. They also have a couple of different spin-offs. Canvas Collection Originals use original artwork done right on the card and come signed by the artist. Select players also have Canvas Collection Originals Player Autographs that are signed by the featured star.

Vintage Canvas Collection is a case hit. These have new artwork of ten key rookies. Each is shown in a throwback leather helmet. Vintage Canvas Collection Originals (1/1) deliver more art. On top of these, Vintage Canvas Collection Relics (/5) come with pieces of player-worn leather helmets embedded in them.

The 2015 Topps Museum Collection Football base set adopts same darker look that the product’s other elements have. The result is a significantly different design and feel. The checklist has 100 players. It’s a mix of returning stars, top rookies and retired greats.

Each pack comes with one base parallel. These include Copper, Sapphire (/99), 60th Anniversary (/60), Amethyst (/25) and Emerald (1/1).
