2017 TOPPS WALKING DEAD SEASON 6 TRADING CARDS INCLUDE AN AUTOGRAPH PER HOBBY BOX




2017 Topps Walking Dead Season 6 trading cards continue to push through series, catching the hobby side of things up to what’s aired. While the look and feel is similar to the fall’s Season 5 set— Topps’ first with the license — there is a major change with the configuration. An autograph is now guaranteed in each hobby box.

Base Set




The 100-card base set breaks down the sixth season in its entirety. From the crushing premiere through to the finish, plenty of big moments, character arrivals and brutal departures are included.

Parallels are plentiful with names reflecting the nature of the show. Rust are the most common at one per hobby pack. Others come numbered: Mud (/50), Mold (/25), Sepia (/10), Printing Plates and Blood (1/1).



Autographs and Memorabilia Cards




Although not exactly the same, autographs are very similar in design to Season 5. On-card signatures appear to be the direction for most based on initial materials.

Among the confirmed signers are Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Chandler Riggs (Carl) and Danai Gurira (Michonne).

Other signed cards include Dual and Triple Autographs, both of which have one-of-one Blood parallels.

Relic cards are back with swatches of costume worn on the show. Autographed Relic cards are also randomly inserted.




Inserts




While the base set covers the events of the show, there are a couple of inserts that look more at the people — living and dead. Character Cards and Walkers both return. Chop makes the jump over from the Walking Dead Card Trader app.

These inserts have Rust (/99), Mud (/50), Mold (/25), Sepia (/10), Printing Plate and Blood (1/1) parallels.

Although sketch cards were planned for Season 5 and the follow-up Survival Box sets, they were cancelled. However, according to initial information for 2017 Topps Walking Dead Season 6, they’re back in the plans.
