2017 Panini Immaculate Soccer Features Brand’s Trademark High-End Memorabilia Focus





Last year Flawless. Now Panini is bringing another of its ultra high-end brands to the pitch. Just like the brand has in other sports, 2017 Panini Immaculate Soccer focuses primarily on memorabilia and autographs. Five out of the six cards in each box include such additions.


Although both signed cards and memorabilia are plentiful across to production run, Immaculate is a brand that likes to take a different path with some of its swatches. It delves deep into gear, going beyond the basic jersey swatch. The result is a greater percentage of relics that are either on the high-end side or come with pieces not often used in cards. Such cards are covered in insert sets like Boot Memorabilia, Team Crests and Nameplate Nobility, which uses full letters from the backs of jerseys.
All told, 2017 Panini Immaculate Soccer has more than 15 themed memorabilia insert sets.

On the autograph side, the product has several firsts. Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, Mario Gomez and Marcus Rashford are among the over 30 players signing for Panini for the first time.

Others may have signed in the past but 2017 Panini Immaculate Soccer marks their on-card autograph debut for the company.

Diego Maradona, Javier Zanetti, Ryan Giggs, Carles Puyol, Andriy Shevchenko and David Seaman are some of the names that fall under this category.

On-card autographs are actually the theme in 2017 Panini Immaculate Soccer. They’re featured in a dozen insert sets like Historical Significance, Shadowbox Signatures, All-Time Greats, Celebration Signatures and Immaculate Moments, which also highlight key moments in the player’s career.

Autographed memorabilia cards come with a variety of patches, including some that are over-sized. Boot Signatures combine pieces of cleats with on-card signatures. More than 35 players are included on this part of the checklist. Team Tag Autographs make it easy to see what squad is featured on the swatch.

Amidst all the autographs and memorabilia cards, 2017 Panini Immaculate Soccer does have a base set. It comes in at 100 cards. Each box has one such card or one of four levels of parallels: Sapphire (/35), Bronze (/25), Gold (/10) and Platinum (1/1).

All cards in 2017 Panini Immaculate Soccer are numbered to 99 or less.
