2019 Topps Star Wars Masterwork brings the high-end release back for another year. From the base set through to the inserts and ample hits, it’s premium throughout the checklist. Hobby boxes consist of four packs, each holding a hit. Two of the hits in each box are autographs.

2019 Topps Star Wars Masterwork Base Set Basics


The main set has 100 cards, centering on characters, creatures and robots from the many Star Wars movies and TV shows. All are printed on thick 72 pt. stock.







Every pack comes with a parallel. These breakdown to Blue, Green (/99), Purple (/50), Orange (/10), Black (/5), Printing Plates (1/1) and Gold (1/1).

Autographs


Since Star Wars Masterwork debuted, autographs have been a cornerstone of the brand. It’s no different this time around. Of the pair that are in every box, one is guaranteed to be on-card.








Signers cover the full run of films, starting with the original trilogy and moving forward to the recent films and TV shows. While a full checklist hasn’t been released, this is one of the first sets to include autographs from Ewan McGregor, Alden Ehrenreich, Kelly Marie Tran and others. It’ll  also see the return of Ahmed Best to the fold.







Autograph parallels include Blue (/99), Rainbow Foil (/50), Canvas (/25), Wood (/10), Silver Framed (/5), Printing Plates (1/1) and Gold Framed (1/1).







2019 Topps Star Wars Masterwork has multi-signature cards as well. Dual Autographs have 50 copies along with Canvas (/25), Wood (/10), Black (/5) and Gold (1/1) parallels.







Triple Autographs are more scarce with print runs of 25. Parallels are limited to Wood (/10), Black (/5) and Gold (1/1).


Quad Autograph Book Cards (/2) open up to showcase four signatures.






It’s a big jump to the next level. A new Ultimate Autograph Book Card features 40 signatures.


One-of-one Pen Relic Autographs, which have a piece of the pen used for the signing, return.  


Relics and Other Inserts


The other hits in 2019 Topps Star Wars Masterwork come in a few different varieties. Jumbo Costume Relics are among the toughest with Orange (/10), Black (/5) and Gold (1/1) versions.









Film Cel Relics are all one-of-ones to a certain extent. However, that’s because frames are all different as they come from movie prints.


Manufactured relics come in the form of Commemorative Artifact Medallions. Basic parallels include Purple (/50), Orange (/10), Black (/5) and Gold (1/1). Select medallion cards also have autograph versions numbered to 50 or less.


The checklist has three thematically focused inserts as well: The Dark Side, Defining Moments and Heroes of the Rebellion. Parallels here include Rainbow Foil (/299), Canvas (/25), Wood (/10), Metal (/5), Printing Plates (1/1) and Gold Metal (1/1). Inserts combine to fall one per pack.
