Panini America officials recently sent out preliminary Product Information Solicitations for several exciting new products coming soon enough to a hobby shop or online retailer near you and, over the course of the next few days, we’re sharing that same information with you here on The Knight’s Lance, beginning with both 2019-20 Revolution Basketball and the special Chinese New Year version.


For each new product, we’ll showcase a must-see bevy of preliminary images as well as the PIS documents for both hobby and retail versions where applicable. Enjoy the sneak peek and stay tuned for additional details.


Release Date: January 3, 2020
Product Configuration: Five cards per pack, eight packs per box, eight boxes per inner case, two inner cases per master case.
BREAK: Four Rookie Cards, four inserts, four parallels.

• Look for the ultra-rare Galactic versions of the base, rookies and all Insert sets.

• Find six on-card autographs per case, on average. This top-tier autograph checklist includes current stars, retired legends and top rookies.

• Revolution is one of the most unique collecting experiences of the year. Look for striking parallel versions of every base and Rookie Card on eye-catching holo card stock. Parallels include Impact (numbered to 149), Cosmic (numbered to 100), Sunburst (numbered to 75), Cubic (numbered to 50), Lava (numbered to 10) and the highly sought-after Galactic parallel.

• Collect a variety of inserts in Vortex, Rookie Revolution, Shock Wave, Supernova and Liftoff. Each has the following variations: Fractal, Cubic (numbered to 50) and Galactic.

• The Chinese New Year edition delivers exclusive parallels including Base Red, Emerald (numbered to 88) and Holo Gold (numbered to just eight).

• Find Chinese New Year Rookie Autographs numbered to the featured player’s jersey number.

• Each Chinese New Year pack will contain one of the exclusive Chinese New Year parallels and each box will deliver 12 of them.

That’s when Panini America’s popular and paralleled Revolution Basketball arrives for the new season boasting myriad ways — at least on the surface — to collect your favorite NBA stars and rookies. It’s a flashy, chase-worthy recipe (featuring rare-but-hard-signed autographs) that has helped the Revolution brand carve out a nice following for itself in the last several years. On average, each hobby box of 2019-20 Revolution Basketball (five cards per pack, eight packs per box, 16 boxes per case) will deliver four Rookie Cards, four inserts and eight calling-card parallels — including the one-per-case Galactics.
