2020 Topps Clearly Authentic Baseball takes the year’s flagship design for a ride, bringing it back with an all-autograph, all-acetate makeover.
Every card in the product is done with the clear, plastic-like stock (like what’s used on Topps Clear parallels). Every card also comes with an on-card signature. Boxes come with just one card.
2020 Topps Clearly Authentic Baseball Overview
Clearly Authentic Autographs are the base portion of the set. If cards look familiar from a layout perspective, that’s because they are. Cards carry the same design as 2020 Topps Baseball. That doesn’t meant that photos necessarily match-up. There’s also the fact that they have autographs here as well.
In addition to the base versions, there are several parallels: Green (/99), Black (/75), Red (/50), Blue (/25), Purple (/10), Orange (/5) and Gold (1/1).
It’s not just the base design that Clearly Authentic brings over from flagship. A couple of inserts make the jump as well.
Decades’ Best Autographs spotlight leaders from multiple eras. And for each decade, there’s a tweaked different design to go with it.
1985 Topps Baseball Autographs give the 35-year-old design an acetate makeover.
For both of these there are Green (/99), Black (/75), Red (/50), Blue (/25), Purple (/10), Orange (/5) and Gold (1/1) parallels.
A couple more inserts go even further back in time. 1951 Red/Blue Backs Autographs go back to Topps’ first baseball-only release. Base versions have no more than 99 copies with additional parallels available in Blue (/25), Purple (/10), Orange (/5) and Gold (1/1).
Finally, there’s 1952 Reimagining Autographs (/99) that use the classic design for new cards of current players and retired legends. One-of-one Sepia cards are the lone parallels for these.
