A good soup typically requires bringing together a lot of different ingredients, some that typically go together but not always. Such is the case with 2021-22 Panini Chronicles Basketball, a set that’s defined by highlighting lots of other products.

As has been in the past, Chronicles allows Panini to dig into its banks and provide cards for brands that don’t have their own standalone release this year or bring others over from different sports.

Hobby boxes will include plenty of variety as well as a pair of hits in the form of two autographs.

Of these, several of the premium ones like Gold Standard, Limited, Timeless Treasures, Plates & Patches, Gala and Titanium are exclusive to hobby packs and can’t be found in retail or other configurations.






While each of these brands has its own design, the variety carries over the how the cards are made. Some are traditional. Others use things like different types of foil or chromium.

Among the signatures in 2021-22 Chronicles, Gold Standard includes Rookie Jersey Autographs. Cornerstones makes an appearance, combining a signature with four swatches.



  


For chrome fans, there’s Phoenix Signatures.







Parallels land on the checklist in a variety of ways. For standard base cards, levels include Red (/149), Blue (/99), 75th Anniversary (/75), Purple (/49), Gold (/10) and Platinum (1/1).
