Bolstered by four blockbuster releases across three sports (two in basketball and one each in baseball and football), Panini America’s Immaculate brand has quickly established itself as one of the most desirable, valuable and can’t-miss products in the trading card industry. It’s done by consistently delivering gorgeous designs, unique — and often massively dimensioned — memorabilia cards and a top-notch roster of autographs featuring the hottest rookies, biggest current superstars and greatest legends.

That’s the recipe Immaculate used to make its first marketplace splash with 2012-13 Immaculate Basketball; it’s the recipe that will return triumphantly intact when 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball releases in late April. We’ve showcased many of the on-card autographs that have arrived for insertion into 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball right here on The Knight’s Lance in recent weeks. Today, we’re providing more nuts-and-bolts product details.

Each six-card box of 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball will deliver five autograph or memorabilia cards. The critically acclaimed Sneak Peek and Sole of the Game game-worn shoe cards return with a completely new roster of superstars and, for the first time ever, Immaculate will include Dual, Triple and Quad hard-signed autograph cards. Other highlights of 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball include . . .

• Every autograph in 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball is numbered to 99 or less, including the all-new Shadowbox Signatures insert that’s numbered to 60 or less.

• The Hall of Fame Heroes Autographs insert celebrates the greatest basketball players of all time with unique hard-signed signatures.

• Immaculate’s popular Rookie Patch Autographs return with one of the most promising NBA rookie classes in years.

• The triumphant return of Immaculate’s Logoman Autographs that pay tribute to legends of the past and present.

Inside Immaculate: Panini America Readies 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball for Release



Let the buildup begin. Panini America’s 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball is coming. In fact, packout for the newest installment of one of the hobby’s most powerful brands begins in earnest on Friday. But until then, there’s still time for Panini America HQ to receive some late-arriving autographs for insertion into the product. In that regard, the last few days have been huge.

Kevin Durant. John Wall. Stephen Curry. Steve Nash. Robert Horry. James Worthy. That immaculate collection of names represents the short list of autograph signers who’ve returned their on-card Immaculate gems in recent days. Add the following eye candy to the star-studded roster of previously previewed cards coming to the product and you’ll start to understand why 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball is shaping up to be a bona fide blockbuster.

Sole Survivor: Panini America’s ‘Sneak Peek’ Insert Returning to Immaculate Basketball



If you follow Panini America on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, the post you’re about to read may indeed be old news by now. But even if you already know that we’re bringing back the revolutionary Sneak Peek game-worn NBA shoe insert to 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball, there’s still something new — and quite spectacular — for you to see in the gallery that follows.

Last year, Panini America officials unveiled the otherworldly Sneak Peek concept inside 2013-14 Immaculate Basketball and provided a stiff, jolting kick to the game-worn memorabilia trading card genre. Boasting a bountiful array of basketball cards the likes of which fans and collectors had never seen, Sneak Peek commanded mainstream media attention and provided a path for similar innovation inside 2014 Immaculate Baseball.


With 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball set to begin packing out later this week, we thought we’d offer this first extended sneak peek at the new Sneak Peek. For collectors who might be waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak, the still-pioneering insert will deliver a continuation of what you saw last season (such as the other pump from Shaquille O’Neal’s iconic Reebok Pumps) as well as several new game-worn kicks, including Karl Malone’s Etonics, Hakeem Olajuwon’s L.A. Gear, Robert Parish’s Champions, and Converse classics worn by Magic Johnson, Julius Erving and Larry Johnson.

While the following preview gallery doesn’t include every card in the 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball Sneak Peek insert (we’ll follow up with that soon enough), it should certainly whet your appetite for the greatness to come. Inside Immaculate: Panini America Initiates Packout for 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball



Early last Friday morning, Panini America officials began the packout process for 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball, easily one of this season’s most anticipated releases across all sports. Bolstered by the fascinating return of Sneak Peek, a spectacularly stacked autograph roster and some of the sickest memorabilia cards you’ll ever see, this year’s Immaculate is seemingly equipped to be the best iteration in the brand’s short-but-proud history.

In the juicy gallery that follows, we offer an extended look at some of the gems that surfaced Friday and Saturday while Cory Hollingsworth and Keith Hower oversaw the packout process. Luckily for all of us, they were nice enough to snap some pics while they were there.


2014-15 Immaculate Basketball is set to arrive in hobby shops across North America on May 6, and you can bet that we’ll have lots more to preview here on The Knight’s Lance between now and then. But today’s tease should be sufficiently revealing until our next post.

It’s safe to say that Panini America’s NBA Product Development Team put its best foot forward last season with the introduction of the spectacular Sneak Peek insert in 2013-14 Immaculate Basketball. A revolutionary addition to the popular Immaculate brand, Sneak Peek appealed to hardcore collectors and sneakerheads alike by sharing massive, prime pieces of game-worn NBA shoes from the biggest superstars the game has ever known. In the process, Panini America provided a stiff, jolting kick to the entire game-worn memorabilia trading card genre.

Boasting a bountiful array of basketball cards the likes of which fans and collectors had never seen, Sneak Peek commanded mainstream media attention and provided a path for similar innovation inside 2014 Immaculate Baseball. So how does the company plan to follow up that trailblazing debut in this week’s release of 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball? By taking the next logical step, of course.


Fans and collectors waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak, will get their first crack at an all-new Sneak Peek insert when 2014-15 Immaculate Basketball arrives in hobby shops across North America on Wednesday. Although there are some carry-overs from last season (such as Shaquille O’Neal’s other Reebok Pump), there are also many new additions to the Sneak Peek checklist, including Allen Iverson, Julius Erving, Andrew Wiggins, Hakeem Olajuwon, Yao Ming, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson and more.

But instead of just telling you about this year’s Sneak Peek insert, we’re going to show you. In the gallery that follows, we provide an extended examination of this year’s set, a foot-stomping assortment of game-worn greatness. While you might not necessarily be able to walk a mile in these shoes, you would probably walk a mile — or a hundred miles — in bare feet to get your hands on one.
