If you’re looking for a revolution in the sense of overhauling something, you’re not likely to find it in 2021-22 Panini Revolution Basketball. That said, sticking with the brand’s recent history, it is a place where collectors will find something different from the basketball card norm. It starts with many of the designs but trickles down to the configuration as well with the primary focus shifted away from traditional hits.
While autographs are not guaranteed in every hobby box, there are four inserts and eight parallels, both of which make up a large portion of the product’s identity.
2021-22 Panini Revolution Basketball Checklist Overview
Since Revolution debuted more than 20 years ago as a Pacific brand, the line has always been home to modern foil design. Bold and abstract elements combine once again.
Hobby packs average one parallel. Rather than simply playing with colors, these different background patterns. They include Astro, Groove, Fractal, Impact (/149), Cosmic (/99), NBA 75th Anniversary (/75), Sunburst (/60), Cubic (/50) and Lava (/10). Galactic versions also return. These don’t carry serial numbers but they are among the rarest parallels in the product.

Inserts, which land about every other pack, maintain the patterned foil foundation of the base set. Some are also die-cut. Liftoff!, Rookie Revolution, Shockwave, Supernova and Vortex are among the more common chase sets.

2021-22 Revolution has some short print inserts as well in Prime Time Performers and the die-cut Star Factor.

Rookies, veterans and legends are among the product’s autographs. Fractal (/100), Infinite (/25) and Kaleido (1/1) are among the parallels for these.
