2019 Panini Cotnenders Optic Football puts a premium coat of shine on the main Contenders set. Rookies and autographs remain the big draw, albeit with an expanded rainbow of colors. Hobby boxes keep things simple with just six cards. Two are autographs (one is on-card), which join an insert, parallel and a pair of base cards.

2019 Panini Contenders Optic Football Base Set Basics


Like the regular Contenders line, veteran Season Tickets make up the shell of the base set. In addition to the regular versions, there are Red (/199), Blue (/99), Orange (/50), Gold (/10) and Gold Vinyl (1/1) parallels.


Rookie Ticket RPS Autographs have hard signatures from many of the key names in the 2019 draft class. Parallels are available in Red (/199), Teal (/149), Blue (/75), Orange (/50), Green Pulsar (/27) and Gold Vinyl (1/1).








Regular Rookie Ticket Autographs take the checklist deeper. These don’t have on-card signatures, though. The parallel mix is a little more brief as well: Blue (/75), Orange (/50), Gold (/10) and Gold Vinyl (1/1).

Rookie Ticket Autographs (/125 or less) aren’t the only signatures in 2019 Panini Contenders Optic Football. Rookie of the Year Contenders is another place to find on-card ink. Parallels include Orange (/50), Green Pulsar (/27), Gold (/10) and Gold Vinyl (1/1).

Legendary Contenders Autographs (/99 or less) delve into the game’s past.







Contenders Tribute delve into the brand’s history, offering up new opti-chrome versions of some cornerstone autographs. A variety of years and designs are used here including 1999, 2002 and 2007.









Other inserts includ MVP Contenders (/165), All-Time Contenders, Winning Tickets and colorful, die-cut Supernova cards.
