2020 Topps Five Star Baseball is sticking with what the line is known for — autographs. And, unless it’s a cut signature, it’s on-card. Boxes for the hobby-only product come with two cards.
2020 Topps Five Star Baseball Autographs
Starting things off are Five Star Autographs. These have a deep checklist of players including rookies. Parallels include Purple (/50), Blue (/25), Green (/15), Gold (/10), Orange (/5) and Red (1/1).
Multi-signature Dual (/10 or less) and Triple Autographs (/5 or less) can also be found.
Pentamerous Penmanship Autographs (/25 or less) use a shadowbox-style design. Green (/10), Gold (/5), Orange (/3) and Red (1/1) make up the parallels.
New for 2020 Five Star Baseball are Dual Pentamerous Penmanship Autographs (/5 or less) that have on-card ink from two players.
Golden Graphs (/40 or less) and Silver Signatures (/40 or less) both return. Each is a case hit getting their name from the color of the signature’s ink. Both have additional Purple (/25), Blue (/20), Green (/15), Gold (/10), Orange (/5) and Red (1/1) versions.
Other signature themes include Five Tool Phenom Autographs (/25 or less) and Five Star Signatures (/20 or less). Some of the Five Star Signatures cards have inscriptions alongside that autograph.
Cut Signatures (1/1) are available for both baseball legends and celebrities.
Autograph Memorabilia Cards
Five Star Autographed Jumbo Patch cards (/25 or less) are just that. The swatch takes up a large portion of the card front with the image and signature off to one side. Parallels are with Gold (/10) and Silver Rainbow (/5). From there, these have four different levels of one-of-ones: Jersey Brand Patch, Laundry Tag Patch, MLB Silhouetted Batter Logo, and Team Patch. The checklist is a mix of past and present players.
