A new brand of baseball cards is on the horizon for 2016 and it’s one that celebrates the stars of the past as well as today.

It’s 2016 Topps Legacies of Baseball and it’s a high-end brand set to arrive on April 13 with two autographed cards in every pack.
It’s a baseball version of Valor with a touch of Fire, which we have seen in other sports in recent years.



Basic set and parallels

The Vault Metals will be found one per pack with three types of parallels — Purple Logo (/TBD), Red (/25) and 1/1 Black — for all 50 cards. A preliminary checklist was not revealed for the product. These will showcase Topps photos on a metal card.





Inserts

Collectors can expect one insert per pack that’s numbered to 99 or fewer copies from Lasting Imprints (all-time greats) or Imminent Arrivals (top rookies). These will have Purple (/TBD), Red (/5) and 1/1 Black parallels as well as autographed versions.






Autographs

The autograph lineup will include on-card sigs and include Tradition autos — numbered cards of this who have played “the right way” according to the company — along with Loyalty, Tenacity and Exhilaration autos. The Loyalty will be for guys who mostly played for one team, while Tenacity focuses on attitude and Exhilaration will focus on young stars. These cards will all be numbered and have Green (/TBD), Purple (/TBD), Red (/5) and 1/1 Black parallels.
