2020 Topps Chrome Baseball lets the game’s rookies and star shine. It is Chrome, after all. The product has a lot of similarities to years past with an emphasis on color and signatures from baseball’s up-and-comers.
At the hobby level, there are two types of boxes once again. Regular hobby have a pair of autographs while hobby jumbo boxes deliver five.

Memorabilia Cards
Topps Chrome is a brand that generally isn’t heavy on memorabilia cards. That rings true in 2020, although there is one insert set.
Retro Rookie Chrome Relics take Rookie Cards from the past and do a couple of things with them. First, they’re done with chromium. Next, a swatch is added.

Parallels include Green Refractors (/99), Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1). Select cards also have autograph versions.
Retro Rookie Chrome Relics are only in hobby and hobby jumbo packs, not retail.
Additional Inserts
2020 Topps Chrome has several additional insert sets to round out its checklist.
1985 Topps Baseball (1:6 hobby packs), which is also being revisited in the main 2020 Topps Baseball lines, offers a chromium look at the 35-year-old design.
Freshman Flash (1:12) and Future Stars (1:8) are both back in packs. This is another place where the product looks to the game’s youth.
All three of these inserts have Green Refractors (/99), Gold Refractors (/50), Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1) as well as their base versions. Autographs can also be found for each of the three themes. These have their own Orange Refractor (/25), Red Refractor (/5), Printing Plate (1/1) and Superfractor (1/1) parallels.
With the dawn of a new decade, Decades of Dominance Die Cut inserts spotlight players who put up big numbers in a specific area over a ten-year span in the past. These land about every other hobby box. The Refractor rainbow is similar to other inserts except there are no Green Refractors.
